Change and Cancellation Policy

Non-Award Bookings

For bookings not made using airline miles (“non-award bookings”), changes and cancellations are generally allowed but subject to airline rules and Ascend service fees. Fees include:

  • Change or cancellation fee: $100–$250 per passenger depending on the airline and fare class
  • Ascend service fee: Typically $100 per change or cancellation request, per passenger
  • Refunds: Most fares are non-refundable. If eligible, canceled tickets may result in airline-issued flight credits, not cash refunds. These are subject to each airline’s terms.

All change and cancellation policies will be disclosed prior to booking. Once a ticket is issued, all fare rules are final.

Award Bookings

For bookings made using airline miles, cancellation or changes may incur:

  • Airline-imposed redeposit or rebooking fees
  • Ascend service fees for rebooking (quoted at the time of change request)
  • Mileage availability is not guaranteed when rebooking

Ascend will do its best to retain value, but cannot guarantee award seats, airline waivers, or reissuance policies.

Credit Policy

If a booking is canceled (whether award or non-award), Ascend will issue a credit when applicable based on airline fare rules. Conditions include:

  • Credits are non-transferable and issued in the traveler’s name
  • Credits must be used within 12 months of the original booking date, unless otherwise noted
  • Credits must be used through Ascend’s concierge team, and cannot be redeemed elsewhere
  • If credits expire unused, they are forfeited

Involuntary Changes and Missed Flights

Ascend is not responsible for involuntary schedule changes made by airlines. In the event of:

  • Missed flights due to traveler error: Rebooking may be required at the traveler’s expense
  • Flight delays or cancellations by airlines: Travelers must work directly with the airline to secure waivers or alternatives. Ascend can assist but is not liable for outcomes

Pro Membership Waivers

Ascend Pro and Enterprise members receive benefits that may include waived service fees for economy and premium economy changes or cancellations. All other terms and third-party fees still apply.
